Online Private Lessons

As a working professional bass player and educator (see About) I am able to offer weekly private lessons over Zoom, FaceTime, or Skype.
I like to teach whatever you like to learn! I'm able to help with a wide range of topics from live performing and sight-reading skills to improvising and studio recording, however I always aim to design every student's lesson around their specific musical goals and abilities. Whether you are just looking for guidance playing in a band for the very first time, or you are an experienced player looking for the next level - let me help you get to where you'd like to be as a musician.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule your free consult/demo lesson!
What do I need to get started?
Here's what you'll need to simply get started:
-
a computer/smartphone/tablet with either FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype
-
adequate internet access to video conference for 55 min.
-
your instrument/amp/etc. and an appropriate space for your lesson
(OPTIONAL additional recommendations for the highest quality experience)
4. a small (2 channel min.) USB audio interface
5. studio quality microphone and over-ear headphones or quality gaming headset
6. instrument or XLR cables to plug instruments into interface
Do I get anything else for my tuition?
Yes, you will receive a weekly email summary including a brief lesson recap as well as your customized Practice Plan to keep you committed to your goals throughout the week.
How often and how long are online lessons?
Regular online lessons are scheduled weekly for an hour-long. Free consult/demo lessons are offered one-time only and are 30 minutes long.
What if I have to miss a lesson?
Rescheduling a lesson is permitted as long as 24 hours notice is given. A cancellation within 24 hours will not be refunded or rescheduled.
*Since I am still a working musician, lessons will occasionally require rescheduling during the weeks I am performing on tour.
